📚 Step-by-Step Drawing Instructions
Step 1 – Draw the Bag Shape

Start with the soft body (air bag) of the pipes. It looks like a curved potato shape with several small rounded pads on top. This is where the pipes will attach.
Step 2 – Add the First Curved Pipe

Above the bag, draw a long thin pipe with some bends. This is the blowpipe or one of the drones.
Step 3 – Add More Pipes on Top

Draw two more tall pipes sticking out at different angles. These are the drones — they rest on the player’s shoulder in real life!
Step 4 – Add the Left-Side Pipes

Now draw another pipe coming out from the left. These shapes look a bit like stacked cylinders and sticks. This part is the chanter, the melody pipe.
Step 5 – Complete the Chanter with Holes

Add the decorative parts and finger holes on the chanter. These are used to play the melody — like a flute!
Step 6 – Make It Cute!

Add a smiling face to the soft bag part. Two dots for eyes and a curve for a mouth — now your Uilleann pipes are full of character!
💡 Fun Fact About Uilleann Pipes
Unlike Scottish bagpipes, Uilleann pipes are played sitting down, and the player uses bellows (like an accordion) under their arm to blow air into the bag — not their mouth!
🎨 Coloring Ideas
- Bag: Brown, tan, or dark green
- Pipes: Gold, silver, or wooden brown
