Step by Step Leprechaun Trap Drawing Instructions
Step 1 – Draw a Stack of Coins

Start in the bottom center of your paper. Draw a small stack of horizontal oval shapes to create coins — this will be the bait!
Step 2 – Add the Rope Trap

To the right of the coin stack, sketch a few loose loops like curvy noodles — this will be the string that activates the trap.
Step 3 – Draw the Stick

Now draw a straight vertical stick behind the rope. The rope should look like it’s winding around the stick and extending to the right.
Step 4 – Sketch the Front of the Box

Draw a wide, slightly slanted rectangle resting on the stick and coin stack. This is the side of the tilted trap box.
Step 5 – Add the Top and Side of the Box

Draw the top and left side of the box to complete its 3D shape. Now the box looks like it’s propped up, ready to drop!
Step 6 – Make It Cute!

Draw two small circles for eyes and a smiling mouth on the front face of the trap box. Now your trap has personality and charm!
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is this trap used for?
It’s a fun imaginary trap for catching leprechauns on St. Patrick’s Day! Kids love the idea of setting up “traps” with gold to see if a leprechaun comes.
Can I color the coins and rope?
Absolutely! Try gold or yellow for the coins, brown or red for the stick, and any color you like for the string.
How do I make the box look more 3D?
Make sure the sides are angled slightly and that the top shows a bit of depth. Don’t worry — it doesn’t have to be perfect!
Can I add a leprechaun inside or near the trap?
Yes! That’s a great creative idea. Try drawing a little leprechaun peeking out or sneaking toward the coins.
